To the amoeba, the unknown approaches it from all sides. I can know a lot or live a lot in a given sense, but the other comes close to my shortcomings and scratches my head with his cold nail. The bad thing is that it scratches me when it doesn't itch and when it itches - when I would like to know - everything around me is so planted, so located, so complete and solid and labeled, that I come to believe that I was dreaming, that I'm fine. So, I defend myself quite well and I can't get carried away by my imagination.
